Pre-Primary Programme (6 Years Old)

Our Pre-Primary programme is the culmination of the JJ journey. We refine the skills needed for the next stage of formal education, building academic strength and social maturity. Through purposeful use of our spacious classrooms and outdoor areas, we keep learning active and engaging, ensuring the joy of discovery continues even as the curriculum becomes more rigorous.

Our Curriculum Includes:

  • Thematic & Project-Based Learning – Engaging in hands-on projects that bring real-life topics to life, as children connect their learning directly to the wider world.
  • English Language (UK Syllabus) – Developing advanced literacy through Jolly Phonics and the Jolly Grammar Pupil Book series.
  • Numbers & Basic Maths (UK Syllabus) – Mastering mathematical concepts, logic and problem solving to ensure primary readiness.
  • Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin (National Curriculum) – Strengthening proficiency in both languages to support a smooth transition into local or international primary education.
  • Science (Singapore Syllabus) – Developing inquiry and observation skills through a structured scientific approach.
  • Kinder Beat (Australian Music Programme) – Building rhythm, coordination and foundational keyboard skills through a structured music syllabus.
  • Individual Reading & Storytelling – Enhancing language fluency, comprehension and imagination through dedicated literary time.
  • Information & Communication Technology (ICT) – Introducing essential digital literacy and basic technology skills in a safe environment.
  • Arts & Crafts – Fostering creativity and self-expression through diverse materials and hands-on, purposeful projects.
  • Show & Tell – Building confidence to speak in front of peers and present ideas clearly.
  • Social & Character Building – Embodying integrity and responsibility as children independently apply core values to their lives.

This final year focuses on building the independence needed for a confident new beginning, supporting every child to leave our school with the academic strength and maturity to thrive in Primary education.
